 Dear friends!
From myself personally and from the State Service of Youth and Sports of Ukraine let me greet you with a number of outstanding events in ski orienteering, to be held in Sumy. This is a World Cup stage in ski orienteering, European Championship (WCup-ESOC), World Championship among juniors (JWSOC), World Championship among veterans (WMSOC), European Championship among juniors (EYSOC) in ski orienteering.
For these events city Sumy was chosen not by chance - Sumy judging panel in holding competitions in ski orienteering is one of the best in Ukraine.
In the history of such level competitions a number of the participating countries and athletes this year will be the biggest - about 500 people.
More than 20 countries will take part in these events. We will welcome athletes of Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Slovakia, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, USA and Turkey.
So friends, please accept my sincere congratulations, wishes health, inspiration, desire for improvement and new great victories that, I am sure, will certainly be!
Be active and full of energy, and let competitions bring success and become one more step in achievement professional mastership!

This Event Advisers’ Clinic is organised for the education and recruitment of new IOF licensed Ski Orienteering Event Advisers and organisers. National federations are asked to identify and enter suitable candidates.
Organiser: IOF Ski Orienteering Commission
Date & time: 23-25 February 2012. Detailed program will be distributed to participants after registration.
Clinic site and accommodation: The competition centre for ESOC, JWSOC, EYSOC, WMSOC 2012, the administration building of State Sumy.
Accommodation Contact: info@skio2012.sumy.org. There are several possibilities.
Travelling: Sumy is located about 350 km from airport Boryspil (Kyiv).

Deadline for entries: 1 February 2012. Minimum number of participants is 6.

I am very pleased to welcome you on the territory of hospitable Sumy Region.
Our region is developing rapidly and is very likely to become the centre of the
world’s sports life.
It’s great honor for us to meet titled athletes and outstanding sportsmen who
conquered the peaks of sport’s Olympus repeatedly.
Organizing Open European Championship, World Championship among
Juniors and World Championship among Veterans in ski orienteering is the next step
towards the realization of our goal – to be among the five strongest regions in the
country.
I am deeply convinced that these competitions will enhance the authority of
Sumy Region among the world community, because during the days of competition
the attention of millions of sports fans from different continents of the world will be
focused specifically on our region.
I am sure, during this mass tournament in Sumy Region the new stars will
shine in the world of sports.
